When a Carlisle isn’t a Carlisle

Ok here’s the problem – at some stage, someone has told me that my twice great grandmother was married twice.  I thought nothing more about it until I found i couldnt find my great grandmother in any censuses, nor her two sisters.  They do exist under their married names but ironically they don’t even exist as Carlisle in the birth index either, so what on earth is going on?!  If you have a possible sledgehammer for my brick wall, feel free to leave it in a comment.

Has anyone else noticed…

For those of you that follow the Ancestry World Archives Project blog, has anyone else noticed there hasn’t been another “monday milestones” post since the first one?  I’m sure we’ve acheived things since then!  The trouble with reading other blogs is they can be so far from what you want to read but you have to read them incase you miss something important!
